What is a postpartum doula?
A postpartum doula provides evidenced-based information on things such as infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, mother-baby bonding, infant soothing, and basic newborn care.
What is the difference between a birth doula and a postpartum doula?
A birth doula and a postpartum doula are very different in that the birth doula takes care of the mother before, during, and just a few hours after the birth, and a postpartum doula usually comes to the house and helps the woman throughout the postpartum experience.
